What if “The X-Files” is not just a movie!
After too many misses, last evening I managed to watch The X-Files completely. At end of the movie, was laughing at my own self on how meaningless pre-conceived notions are.
For those who watched the movie (I assume most of you have), the first 10 minutes of the flick is on disconnected pieces of a larger puzzle – Cave men’s session with a green man, boy tripping into the ground, bomb blast in a multi-storey building et al.
As in the past, the sequence was boring and my friend had paused the player before I could turn it off and gave me a synopsis of the X-Files series, followed by Area-56 and the conspiracy around Roswell UFO incident. I Seemingly understood the plot, managed to deep dive into the movie and enjoyed every frame of it.
It may very well be a coincidence, I had watched a long documentary on H.G.Wells, subsequently Tom Cruises’s War of the Worlds and now The X-Files. When I analyze the underlying phenomenon behind all these, I wonder what if the authors/script writers are right about aliens have arrived much before us and staying dormant below our apartments. And, when the time arrives gets woken up and decide for a hostile bid? Christ!
Absinthe isn’t working, I better have a shot of Vodka and hit the sack!

Oh yeah! You will not realize it when we wake up. You will not even feel it. It is just that we’re waiting for the right moment. We do read your blog, watch those movies. We disagree with the way we’re picturized. We are nice guys really. We love beer. We love a lot of things. Just hate the fact that you think our homes down below is where you drain and dump all your sh*t! Just wait till the day we suface and drown the whole damn world in sh*t! It ain’t gonna be funny then!
And have you ever wondered, what if the Matrix weren’t a movie? Heh heh, we kinda know the W brothers – we gave them the story.
Glub glub glub.
Ford Prefect,
Is that you?
Cheers!
Arun
