The much awaited cellular phone from Apple Inc. is finally out. Steve Jobs had unveiled iPhone in Macworld expo yesterday. Though the features and functionalities of the product would remain as promised, the name might not.

Telecommunication Authority of India (TRAI) has been quite aggressive in the recent past towards saving telecom subscribers from telemarketers.
A few weeks ago the department had mandated operators to provide a special tone when an international roaming customer is called. Lastnight I was reading a report on Indian Cellular Phone Industry by leading research agency. One of the key findings as per the survey conducted states 28% of currently satisfied customers are prone to move to a new service provider, if the quality of service is found to be good. Incidentally, the number is down by 2% but nevertheless 28% is huge enough to tackle.

Telecommunication Authority of India (TRAI) has instructed all the mobile operators to implement a solution that would intimate marketing contact centers if their potential customer is on international roaming and refrain from calling.
